Healthy Shamrock Shake

 

 

Here is a healthy twist to the popular McDonald's Shamrock shake but with a lot less calories, fat, and sugar.  Did you know a large shake will set you back 820 calories and 115 grams of sugar?  That is 29 teaspoons of sugar!  This version is packed with good nutrition for you and your little leprechaun's to enjoy!!

 

Yield:  2 smoothies

 

Ingredients:

2 bananas, frozen

1 cup baby spinach

1/2 avocado

1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp mint extract

 

Optional:

Raw cacao nibs

 

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to the blender and mix until smooth.  Garnish with raw cacao if desired.
